So... my aunt and cousin are doing a whirlwind tour college tour next week. Two colleges a day starting with Cal Poly SLO, UCSB, Pepperdine, USC, FUCLA, UCI, and then UCSD. And despite telling my aunt that that was too tough a schedule, that she should really sign up for tours with these schools and do only one a day. Because really, you need to get the full flavor of each school. What's the population like? Is everyone all study study study or laid back? Anyways she doesn't want to deal with being at places at certain times for tours and whatnot, which leaves me to sell USC and do it justice. With that being said, is there anyone who wants to meet me at SC and help me show it off? *coughJonathancough* Anyone? I mean, I could tell Karina loads about the a cappella scene and engineering, but you know I've never seen the pretty part of Doheny? I've only been in the scary stacks for books twice in my life. And I don't think I ever went into Leavey my Senior year, except maybe to use the restroom.
It's so hot in Sacramento, that my brand new roll of double-sided tape melted in the car. Yeah I bought it at Target, then went into Walmart for an hour, and by the time I got home it had melted off the roll and is completely unusable.
I've also sort of started scrapbooking. In that I bought a scrapbook and am literally pasting in scraps of magazine cutouts I like. And by magazines I mean Martha Stewart Weddings and Instyle Weddings. It's going to be my wedding scrapbook, not unlike Monica's on Friends. It's where I got the idea. So if I'm ever cured of this disease of singledom, I'll have all these years of hopes and dreams neatly arranged by color scheme. I think I might make Diane jump on the scrapbooking bandwagon with me. Only with real pictures. And stencils. And crazy scissors. You know, the things that make scrapbooking so expensive and fun.
Man I hope Sue is having more fun at home than I am. I don't want to go to this wedding. It might make me dangeroulsy desperate. I mean, I just started a wedding scrapbook you realize. Or at the very least, I'm a plane ticket poorer and will be very very bored for all of Saturday. The Tong wagon sets out at 7:30 am tomorrow. Better hit the hay.
